Interpreting the forecast
If the wind is from the:
South East excellent as it is directly down the strip landing from left to
right, parallel to the pits
South tricky, you need to be an experienced pilot
South West almost impossible to fly if the speed exceeds 5 kph, at right
angles to the pits, in fact don't bother coming
East good but use the alternate strip
North East same as the south west but directly into the pits
North much the same as from the south
North West Ok but the approach is difficult as the approach is a tighter turn
to stay inside the fence boundary from the road end of the
strip
West Ok, roughly the same as North West approach but using the
alternate strip
Please note extreme care needs to be taken when landing into the wind coming from the NORTH WEST, WEST and SOUTH WEST.
Very important NO flying is permitted out of bounds at any time. Below are our rules in regards to boundaries:
Flying is NOT permitted:
Before 9:00 am on any day.
To be controlled from anywhere outside the designated pilot zone after take off.
Over pit and spectator areas.
Over the SW boundary fence and especially the SE boundary along Brightview Rd.
North of the water line when the dam is at full capacity.
